Poke G. (Galloway) Johnson

Poke G. Johnson, age 90, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, March 1, 2014.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Monday, March 3, 2014 at Garden of Memories with Rev. Eric Horton officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Poke was born on October 1, 1923 in Sweetwater, Texas to Clyde M. and Ersie L. (Denson) Galloway. She graduated from Newman High School in 1942. She married Alvin Lee Johnson on August 13, 1942 in Sweetwater, She was a homemaker and a Methodist.
She is survived by her daughter, Margaret Lee Dickey and husband David of Sweetwater, Texas; granddaughter, Leah Payne and husband William of Midland, Texas, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde and Ersie Galloway, her husband, Alvin Lee Johnson and sister, Anita Galloway Bruner.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bark N Rest, P.O. Box 192l, Azle, Texas 76098.
