Ralph Vasquez Ceballos, age 76, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at BrightPointe at Lytle Lake Nursing Home in Abilene, Texas.
A prayer vigil will be held 6:30 P.M., Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon David Mendez officiating, followed by a rosary at 7:00 P.M.
Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 A.M., Friday, April 4, 2025 at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish with Father Josh Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery.
Ralph was born on June 15, 1948 in Stanton, Texas to Claudio Reyna Ceballos and Francisca (Vasquez) Ceballos. He married Christina Martinez on September 26, 1970 in Loraine, Texas. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish. He had been a resident of Sweetwater most of his life. He worked as a self-employed contractor for many years before retiring.
He is survived by his wife, Christina (Martinez) Ceballos; three daughters, Anita Ceballos of Abilene, Texas, Cynthia Ceballos Lopez and husband Ruben and Frances Ceballos, all of Sweetwater, Texas ; two sons, Ralph M. Ceballos, Jr. of Sweetwater, Texas and Mike M. Ceballos and wife Gloria of Clyde, Texas; grandchildren, Christina Gonzalez, Christopher Gonzalez, Christian Ceballos, Brennen Ceballos, Gavin Ceballos, Amadeus Ceballos, Jr., Sarah Ceballos, Haily Elizondo, and Eric Elizondo; great grandchildren, Keegan Gonzalez, Kayden Madison, and Josiares Perez; four sisters, Julia Regalado, Linda Contreras and husband Paul, Diana Castro and husband Pete, Janie Ceballos, and Mary Wells and husband Allen; three brothers, Ernest Ceballos, Peter Cardoza, and Jerry Cardoza and step-mother, Rachel Cuellar.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Claudio Ceballos and Francisca Vasquez Ceballos; son, Sebastian Ceballos, two brothers, Clyde Ceballos and Joe Angel Ceballos, one sister, Susan Ceballos, and sister-in-law, Adeleta Ceballos.
Pallbearers will be Christian Ceballos, Brennen Ceballos, Ruben Lopez, Jr., Isaias Aguilar, Johnathan Castro, and Christopher Castro.
Honorary pallbearer will be Christopher Gonzalez.
