Rhondo Hoyt Mulanax, age 80, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2016 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 16, 2016 At Fourth & Elm Church of Christ with Rev. Lonnie Lehrman and Tim Yandell officiating. Burial will follow at Garden of Memories. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, March 15, 2016, from 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
Hoyt was born on October 29, 1935 in Roscoe, Texas to Harley Sheridan Mulanax and Clarice (Flemming) Mulanax. He married Cora Mae (Yandell) on May 27, 1956 in Sweetwater, Texas.
He was a faithful member of 800 Lamar Church of Christ for many years where he served as a deacon. Later, he was a member of 4th & Elm Church of Christ. He worked for Sears & Roebuck as a salesman for many years before retiring. He then went to work for Walmart as a truck driver before his health caused him to retire. Hoyt was a talented artist. He was a kind man with a big heart.
He is survived by his wife, Cora Mae Mulanax of Sweetwater, Texas, daughter, Rachelle Mulanax of Little Elm, Texas, son, Stan Mulanax and wife Tammy of Sweetwater, Texas, granddaughter, Tara Mulanax of Midland, Texas, two brothers, Jesse Mulanax and wife Pat and Bill Mulanax and wife Lil, sister, Rena Mulanax and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harley Mulanax, mother, Clarice Mulanax, brother, Keith Mulanax, and step mother, Rene Mulanax.
Pallbearers will be Jesse Mulanax, Clinton Moore, James Holloman, Tim Hall, Clinton Yandell, Jackie Rowan and Billy Whisenant.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Henderson, Jerry Hunt, and Chuck Browning,
The family would like for anybody that Hoyt painted a picture for to bring it to the service so it can be displayed in honor of him.
