Richard Elton Butts, age 69, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2013 at Sweetwater Healthcare.
His body was cremated. No services are planned at this time.
Richard was born on April 19, 1944 in Henderson, Nevada to Jack W. and Evelyn (Sanders) Butts. He worked as a service manager for Goodyear Tire for 17 l/2 years and 7-ll Auto for l0 years before retiring. He married Sharon Pugh on December 18, 1964 in Roby, Texas.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Butts of Sweetwater, Texas, two daughters, Debra Doss and Tracy Kendrick, both of Sweetwater, Texas and one son, Richard Elton Butts, Jr. of Sweetwater, Texas; eight grandchildren, Aubra Doss, LaTisha Doss Reeh, Chris Doss, Jerrod Doss, Samuel Pierce, Michael Requejo, Ashley Cardoza, and Thumper Covington; eleven great grandchildren; brother, J.W. Butts of Palm Coast, Florida and sister, Linda Gail Anderson of Sparks, Nevada.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack W. and Evelyn Butts.
