Richard N. Hiatt, age 73, of Maryneal, Texas, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020 at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, Texas.

Per his wishes, his body will be cremated. No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Richard was born on August 13, 1947 in Chicago, Illinois. He married Mary Jane Rodriguez on February 5, 2019 in Leesville, Louisiana. He was a self-employed truck driver for many years before retiring. He attended Trinity Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Jane Hiatt of Maryneal, Texas, daughters, Angelica Motes of San Angelo, Texas, Denise Coffey and husband Chris of Green Valley, Illinois, and Dana Dia & husband Khalil of Nebraska City, Nebraska, step-daughter, Tabitha Smyth of Leesville, Louisiana, step-sons, Aaron Smyth and wife Deedria of Roby, Texas, Jakob Smyth of Maryneal, Texas, grandchildren, Dallas, Breanna, Devyn, Hannah, Haley, Noah, Addison, Melissa, Kody, Chealsea, Rechele, Amanda, Jasmine, Sadi, Adam, Michael, and Nathan, great grandchildren, Kloeigh, Isabella, Atticus, and Paxton, and sisters, Sherry Rude of Pekin, Illinois, and Sheila. .

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Dorothy Hiatt, and great grandchild, Logan Ball.
