Richard David Neill, age 66, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2014 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.
His body was cremated. A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, February 17, 2014 at Highland Heights United Methodist Church with Rev. Chris Rodriguez officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Richard was born on May 23, 1947 in Sweetwater, Texas to T.O. and Mae (McElroy) Neill. He married Patti Bentle on June 12, 1977 in Snyder, Texas. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a member of Highland Heights United Methodist Church. He worked for Knoxfield Oil field Supply.
He is survived by his wife, Patti Neill of Sweetwater, Texas, two daughters, Shannon Farnsworth and husband Tim of Anson, Texas, and Kayla Neill-Peek and husband Jonathan Peek of Weatherford, Texas, one granddaughter, Mallory Ashford of Abilene, Texas, uncle, R.E. Mc Elroy of Arlington, Texas, and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, T.O. and Mae Neill.
