Richard "Slic Rick" Knox

Richard "Slic Rick" Knox, age 58, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2024 at Hendrick Medical Center North in Abilene, Texas.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 19, 2024 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 20, 2024 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Ollie Wilburn officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Richard was born on October 23, 1965 in Calvert, Texas to Eddie McCann and Alma Knox.  He attended Rhema Valley Church. He will be truly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Niquita Hammon and husband Jimmy of Sweetwater, Texas, son, Octavis James Knox, granddaughter, Diamond Hammon, brothers, Anthony Knox and wife Claudia of Sweetwater, Texas, and Eddie McCann of El Paso, Texas, and sister, Brenda McCann and Ray Keith of Sweetwater, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie McCann and Alma Knox, and one brother, Lee Andrew Knox.
