Romaldo E. Gutierrez

Romaldo E. Gutierrez, age 83, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.

A prayer service will be held at 6:30 P.M., Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel followed by a rosary at 7:00 P.M. recited by Deacon David Mendez.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 20, 2023 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel.  Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Romaldo was born on August 5, 1939 in Sweetwater, Texas, to Alfonso Gutierrez, Sr. and Ignacia (Espino) Gutierrez.  He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish.

He is survived by five daughters, Elida Perez, Ofelia Gutierrez, Linda Meyers, Sylvia Gutierrez and husband Manuel Munoz and Diana Barney and husband Warren, nineteen grandchildren, thirty six great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren, brothers, Pete Gutierrez and wife Rosa, George Gutierrez and wife Lisa, and Dolores "Lolly" Gutierrez and wife Mary, sisters, Esther Castillo and husband Domingo, Gloria McFadden and husband Allen, Lupe Gutierrez, and Linda Medellin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfonso and Ignacia "Nancy"  Gutierrez, two sons, Rumaldo Gutierrez, Jr. and Rumaldo Gutierrez, sisters, Christina Salinas and Mary Ham, brothers, Arnulfo "Shooky" Gutierrez, Robert Raul Gutierrez, Samuel "Sammy" Gutierrez, and Alfonso Gutierrez, Jr..
