Stanley W. Pieper, age 71, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Sweetwater Healthcare Center.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, February 7, 2013 at Roscoe First Baptist Church with Rev. Adam Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Roscoe Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Stanley was born on June 15, 1941 in Roscoe, Texas to Ruben Barnett and Mildred Flogene (Williams) Pieper. He was a retired farmer and building contractor. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Roscoe, a Volunteer Fireman of Roscoe Fire Department, Former President of Roscoe Jaycees, and Former President of Roscoe Athletic Booster Club. He was voted Outstanding Young Man of America.
He is survived by his companion, Barbara Maaske of Sweetwater, Texas; three children; Sonya Massey of Roscoe, Texas; Randy Pieper and wife Laura of Blackwell, Texas; and Britt Pieper of Sweetwater, Texas; six grandchildren, Alex Massey, Austin Pieper, Michael Massey, Cyera Pieper, Steve Eldred and Brittany Elliott; two great grandchildren, Cameron Eldred and Carson Eldred; brothers and sisters, Donnie Jones and wife Eva of Denton, Texas, John Pieper and wife Nancy of Flower Mound, Texas; Dale Metcalf and husband Jeff of Denton, Texas, and Barbara Evans and husband Steve of Hamlin, Texas, Numerous aunts and uncles, including Arthur Lee Pieper, Travis Pieper, Carl Pieper and Herbert Williams, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruben Barnett and Mildred Flogene Pieper, wife, Gladys Pieper and one brother, Terry Pieper.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of ones choice.
