Stella Mae (Davis) Grice

Stella Mae Grice, age 93, of Sweetwater. Texas, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013, at Sweetwater Healthcare Center.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M.,, Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ben Richardson officiating.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Jayton Cemetery, Jayton, Texas. Burial will follow.  Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, from 6-8 P.M..

Stella was born on November 14, 1919 in Jayton, Texas to Henry Lark and Minnie (Crisp) Davis.  She married Ervin Grice in 1935 in Jayton, Texas.  She was a self-employed farmer and rancher for many years before retiring.  She had been a resident of Longworth, Texas for sixty three years.

She is survived by three daughters, Bonnie Fae Richardson of Humble, Texas, Pat Bagley and husband Troyce of Tye, Texas, and Judy Lyn Grice of Sweetwater, Texas, grandchildren, John Ervin Richardson, Bonnie Gayle Vanderford, Brian Keith Richardson, Daniel Van Liew, Gregory Carl Harp, and Steven Lynn Harp, great grandchildren, Timothy John Richardson, Brittney Wooten, Taylor Vanderford, Brian Allen Richardson, and Crystal Elaine Richardson, Patricia Harp, Kevin Harp and Brandon Harp,  great great grandchildren, Evelett Brawley, J.L. Brawley and Caden Harp and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Henry Lark and Minnie Davis, husband, Ervin Grice, four brothers and sisters, one grandson, and one granddaughter.

Pallbearers will be  Brandon Harp, Kevin Harp, John Richardson, Daniel Van Liew, Rudy Lopez, Timothy Richardson and Brian Richardson.
