Stephen Edward (Steve) McGinley, age 60, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away Friday, October 21, 2011, at his residence.
His body was cremated. No formal services are planned. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Steve was born September 26, 1951, in Sweetwater, Texas to D.E. (Jack) and Nancy (Neeper) McGinley. He worked for Union Pacific Railroad for many years before retiring. He married Nellie Ramon on September 27, 1976 in Sweetwater, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Nellie McGinley, son, Paul McGinley, daughter, Carolyn McGinley and Eddie Palacios, all of Sweetwater, mother, Nancy (Neeper )McGinley, two sisters, Paula McGinley and Beth May, all of Austin, Texas, four grandchildren, Lilly Rosales, Kaitlyn McGinley, Logan Palacios and Lucas Palacios, sisters-in-law, Irene Sklenarik of San Angelo, Texas, Carolyn Inquanzo and husband Robert of California, and Dora Beasley of Sweetwater, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews, including Bridgette Ramon, Jacob Lopez, Eli Cunningham, Scotty Cunningham, Ryan May and Lindsey May.
Family will receive friends at the family home on Wednesday, October 25, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 P.M.
