Sugenia (Sue) Hobbs

Sugenia (Sue) Hobbs, age 85, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at her residence. 

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, February 8, 2025 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 P.M. 

Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 8, 2025 at Sweetwater Cemetery with Mike Terry officiating. Burial will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home. 

Sue was born on September 17, 1939 in Ripley, Mississippi to Nathan and Lena (Camburn) Turner. She was a 1958 graduate of Newman High School. She married the love of her life, Harroll Roland Hobbs on September 22, l960 in Sweetwater, Texas. Sue had her own beauty shop for many years and was also a bookkeeper for Harroll Hobbs Plumbing. She attended Lamar Street Baptist Church before her health became where she couldn't attend. She had been a resident of Sweetwater most of her lifetime. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. 

She is survived by her daughters, Vicki Scott of Sweetwater, Texas, and Tammy Knowles and husband Jerry of San Angelo, Texas; step-daughter, Pamela Butler and husband John of Tennessee; grandchildren; Dell Zetzman and wife Kaitlyn, Amy Zetzman and husband Colby Latham, Sara Knowles, Sam Knowles, Nate Scott and Jill Nelsen, and Jake Knowles; numerous great grandchildren; and brother, Larry Turner and wife Connie of Granbury, Texas. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harroll Roland Hobbs; daugher, Linda Leigh Hobbs; son, Harroll Hobbs, Jr.; sons-in-law, Paul Scott, and Danny Cantrell; step-son, Ricky Moeller; and brother, Kenny Turner. 

Pallbearers will be Dell Zetzman, Sam Knowles, Jake Knowles, Nate Scott, Landon McCluskey, and Russell Hobbs.
