Sylvia Glasgow, age 101 of Sweetwater, Texas passed away on Friday, January 26, 2024 at Sterling Hills Rehab and Healthcare Center.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 9:00 A.M. till service time.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Danny Williams
officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Sylvia was born on December 26, 1922 in Blackwell, Texas to Austin and Martha (Moore) Oden. She lived most of her life in Sweetwater, Texas but also lived in Arizona. She worked as a school bus driver for SISD for many years before retiring. She married Noah Nolan "Babe" Glasgow on May 29, 1940 in Snyder, Texas.
She is survived by her daughter Elaine Roberts of Peoria, Arizona. Son Johnny Glasgow and wife Tammi of Sweetwater, Texas. Five grandchildren, Larry Roberts (Beth), Randy Roberts (Christina), Brooke Walker (Brad), Brittany Wilson (T.J.), and Maranda Terry (Chris). Great Grandchildren, Brodie Wilson, Paizley Wilson, Colten Terry, Finley Walker, Hayes Walker, Amanda Roberts/Deaton, Jared Roberts, Christopher Roberts, Brittany Rodriguez, and Katie Alejandro. Great Great Grandchildren, Dylan Budde, Tyler Budde, Noah Alejandro, Charlie Alejandro, Leila Roberts, Jack Deaton, Max Deaton, Todd Deaton, Elaine (Lanie) Rodriguez, Molly Rodriguez, Ryan Roberts, Everly Roberts, Journee Roberts, and Madison Roberts. Sisters Jo Williams and Maritha Bohall. Brothers Walter Oden and Marion Oden.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Austin and Martha Oden, husband Noah Nolan "Babe" Glasgow, son-in-law Floyd Roberts, five brothers, Jack Oden, David Oden, Norman Oden, Aaron Oden and Sam Oden, and one sister, Wanda Fraley.
Pallbearers will be Larry Roberts, Randy Roberts, Jared Roberts, Chris Roberts, Brad Walker, T.J. Wilson, and Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Terry and Johnny Glasgow.
