Theresa (Terry) Palacios

Theresa "Terry" Palacios, age 55, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2015, at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, Texas, surrounded by her family.
A rosary will be held Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 7:00 P.M. at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel recited by family members.
Holy Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 A.M., Friday, January 23, 2015 at Holy Spirit Catholic Parish with Rev. Charles Okonkwo officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
She was born May 6, 1959, and was raised in Sweetwater, Texas by her parents Cruz and Marianne Palacios. She was a devoted Catholic and member of Holy Spirit Catholic Parish.
Terry was a guardian of the family. She lived for her brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews and made a life of keeping everyone bonded together. She had a heart of gold and would do anything to help others. Never one to forget a birthday or Christmas gift, Terry was considered a second mother by the children of her siblings. She was a light to all at family gatherings, where you would surely find her on the dance floor laughing and having a wonderful time. She is greatly missed by her loved ones.
Terry was preceded in death by her parents, Cruz and Marianne Palacios; a brother, Tony Palacios; and a nephew, Anthony Palacios.
Surviving Terry are her siblings, Cruz Palacios Jr. and wife Annette of Sweetwater, TX; Marianne Anders and husband Billy of Abilene, TX; Anita Reyna and husband Sammy of Big Spring, TX; Tina Rodriguez and husband Sammy Sr. of Big Spring, TX; Louis Palacios and wife Lisa of Sweetwater, TX; Nick Palacios and wife Melissa of Colorado City, TX; Jesse Palacios and Brandy of Sweetwater, TX; Moses Palacios of Mesquite, TX; and fifty six nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Robert Palacios, Darrell Finke, Gilbert Reyna, Sammy Rodriguez, Jr., Louis Palacios, Jr., Nicholas Palacios, Jr., Jesse Palacios, Jr. and Moses Palacios, Jr..
Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Palacios, Sr., Karl Finke, Sebastian Finke, Mario Rodriguez, Anthony Rodriguez, Seve Rodriguez, Jordan Palacios, Patrick Palacios, Derrick Palacios, Matthew Palacios, Ryan Palacios, Bryson Palacios, Gabriel Yanez, Isaac Yanez, Jacob Tucker, Langston Anders, and Alex Palacios.
