Thomas Gene Duncan, age 66, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Truman Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Palava Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Thomas was born on January 8, 1950 in Vancouver, Washington to Richard and Laverne (Jorgenson) Duncan. He retired from the Texas National Guard after over thirty years of service and he also retired from Rolling Plains Compress. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam veteran and a Baptist. He married Linda Harris on March 8, l974 in Sweetwater, Texas.
He is survived by his wife Linda Jean Duncan of Sweetwater, Texas, son, Thomas Duncan of Borrgin, Oregon, daughter, Annis Duncan Smith of Sweetwater, Texas, mother, Laverne Howe of Camas, Washington, two brothers, Richard Joe Duncan of Lincoln, California, and James Duncan of Vancouver, Washington, sister, Claudia Hartman of Vancouver, Washington, and three grandsons, Timothy, David and Anthony Smith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Duncan, and sister, Shirley Duncan.
