Thomas Flack Young , age 6l of Superior, Colorado passed away at his residence on Tuesday, October 16, 2012.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 P.M., Thursday, October 25, 2012 at Sweetwater Cemetery with Pastor Curtis Ward officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
He was born on September 30, 1951, in Sweetwater, Texas, to Dr. & Mrs. J. Wells Young, Jr. He graduated from Tivy High School in Kerrville, Texas in 1969, & from Texas Christian University in 1974 with a degree in Radio & Television Communication.
Flack loved the outdoors & enjoyed camping, rock climbing, bike riding, & golf-with three holes-in-one to his credit. He possessed a clever sense of humor.
Flack is survived by one son, Jason Young & his wife Natalie of Boulder, Colorado; one daughter, Katie Young, of Seattle, Washington; one brother, Wells Young, of Sequatchie, Tennessee; one sister, Gay Young, of Frisco, Texas; & nieces Kearsie Wylie of Tom Bean, Texas; Rebecca Day of Frisco, Texas; & Ashleigh Young of Napa, California.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jason Young, Wells Young, Bobby Dan Wood, Ronnie Williams, and Larry May.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 from 6-8 P.M.. .
