Travis Glasgow

Travis Glasgow, age 64, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Sunday, June 23, 2013 at Hendrick Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at First Apostolic Tabernacle with Revs. Larry Baird, David Greg Boone, and Michael Bingham officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Travis was born on February 11, 1949 in Bronte, Texas to Marvin and Winnie (Boone) Glasgow. He graduated from Newman High School in 1967 and then went to West Texas College in Canyon, Abilene Commercial College and San Angelo College where he studied business. After working for the family business, Glasgow Trucking, he then opened Glasgow Automotive where he owned and operated it for over thirty five years. He was a longtime resident of Sweetwater, TX, but previously lived in Robert Lee, TX . He enjoyed boating, bow hunting, fourwheeling, being outdoors, playing his guitar, and loved serving the Lord. He was a member of the Sweetwater Bowhunters Association. He was a co-pastor of First Apostolic Tabernacle, founding father and adult Sunday School teacher.
He is survived by his mother, Winnie Glasgow; sister, Ann Cavitt and husband Lester; two daughters, Cindy Glasgow-Hefford and husband Grant, and Karen Appling and husband Clint; grandson, Caden Appling; nieces and nephews, Kevin Glasgow and wife Tricia, Deanna Phillips and husband Jerome, Kyle Glasgow and fiance Amanda Downey, Rebecca Cavitt and partner Sharon Skaggs, Lesley Baker, and Amanda Luong and husband Kit; great nieces and nephews, Madison Luong, Cara Mayfield, Casey and Katie Cavitt, Sawyer Glasgow and Laekin Cohee; and aunts and uncles, Carlton and Gail Boone, Richard Glasgow, Faye Beam, and Dena Bloodworth.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Bohall, Mike Sells, Drew Sells, T.J. Wilson, Sam Kamer, Doyle Miles, Dennis Burrows, and Ronny Kinsey.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Doug Hardin, Johnny Glasgow, Neil Montemayor and the Sweetwater Bowhunters Association.
He was preceded in death by his father, F. Marvin Glasgow; one brother, William (Bill) Glasgow; nephew, Michael Cavitt; and great nephew, Stanley Glasgow.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 from 6:00 - 7:30 PM.
