Wayne Ellis Melton

Wayne Ellis Melton, age 57, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on November 14, 2023 at his residence.

Per his wishes, his body will be cremated.  No services are planned at this time.  Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Wayne was born on December 31, 1965 in Dallas, Texas to Jimmy Neeves and Shirley Joan (Bickerstaff) Melton.  He worked as a truck driver for many years.  He was a U. S. Army veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, (Axelyn) Chalise Pope and husband Waylon and Lacy Melton, grandchildren, Danny Pope, Annalise and Lucas Guerra and Natalie Pope, brother, James Melton and two sisters, Dorsey Sparks and Shirley Winsier.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Shirley Joan Melton, and wife Laurie Witmer.
