Welton D. Glass, age 86 of Tecumseh, Oklahoma (Former resident of

Sweetwater, Texas ) passed away on Friday, October 1, 2010.

Graveside services will be held 10:30 A.M. , Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at

Garden of Memories with Lester Cavitt officiating. Services are under the

direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Welton was born May 19, 1924 in Knox City, Texas to Floyd David and Ida Mae

Glass. He was a member of the Church of Christ and a U.S. Army World

War II veteran , serving in the Philippines . He worked as a self employed paint

contractor for many years before retiring. He married Dorotha Patton on July

25, 1979 in Nacogdoches , Texas .

He is survived by his wife – Dorotha Glass of Tecumseh , Oklahoma , Son –

David Wayne Glass and wife Janice of Montgomery, Texas, Daughter – Shelia Parsons

and husband Buzz of Sweetwater , Texas , two step-sons – David Sager and

wife Carla, and Mark Sager, all of Sweetwater , Texas , step-daughter –

Pam Bennett and husband David of Prague, Oklahoma, eight grandchildren,

numerous great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents – Floyd David and Ida Mae Glass, his

first wife – Dean Hornsberger Glass, brother – W.A. Glass, and sister – Merline

Dugger.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 4, 2010 from

7:00-8:00 P.M. .
