Willard Lee (Bulu) Jennings, age 72, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2016 at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J. Webb and Rev. Robert Carey officiating. Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M., Thursday, March 17, 2016 at Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene, Texas with the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Willard was born on November 28, 1943 in Sweetwater, Texas to Abbie Lee and Jessie Mae (Davis) Jennings. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He was a member of Mt. Rose Baptist Church.
He is survived by two daughters, Beverly Caldwell of Dallas, Texas and Cherriee Jennnings Butler of Sacramento, California, three grandchildren, Brandon Butler, Kobe Butler, and Myla Caldwell, two sisters, Doris Jackson of Anson, Texas and Otha Jennings Hearn of Arlington, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Abbie Lee and Jessie Mae (Davis) Jennings, and two sister, Joyce Samuels and Ruby Jackson.
Pallbearers will be Kris Hearn, Darrel Jackson, Charles Walker, George Nichols, Ivey Taylor and Leon Jackson.
Honorary pallbearers will be George Blueford, Chima Igwe, Raymond Samuels, and Willie West.
