Winnie Ruth Boone Glasgow, age 92, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022 at Sterling Hills Rehab and Healthcare Center.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at First Apostolic Tabernacle with Rev. Michael Bingham and Rev. Simon King officiating. Burial will follow at Sweetwater Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, November 21, 2022 from 6:00 - 7:30 P.M.
Winnie was born on February 10, 1930 to Richard Sloan and Nealia Mae (Robertson) Boone. She married Fred Marvin Glasgow on June 29, 1947 in Coke County, Texas. She had been a resident of Sweetwater for over 65 years coming from Robert Lee, Texas. She was a bookkeeper for Glasgow Trucking and Glasgow Upholstery, before retiring. Winnie was a longtime member of First Apostolic Tabernacle serving as Pastor. She was also a member of Assembly of the Lord Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her daughter (Ann) Annealia Glasgow Cavitt and husband Lester of Sweetwater, Texas, granddaughters, Rebecca Cavitt of Arlington, Texas, Deanna Glasgow Phillips and husband Jerome of Boosier City, LA, Cindy Glasgow Hefford and husband Grant of Lubbock, Texas, Karen Glasgow Appling and husband Clint of Merkel, Texas, grandsons, Kevin Glasgow and wife Patricia of Knightdale, NC, Kyle Glasgow and wife Amanda of Columbia, SC, great grandchildren, Casey and Kathryn Cavitt, Caden & Kamryn Appling, Sawyer Glasgow, Adelyn & Connelly Hefford, and bonus great grandchild, Jaxon Gilmore, step grandchildren, Amanda Luong and husband Kit of Broken Arrow, OK, and Lesley Pope and husband Greg of Abilene, Texas, step great grandchildren, Madison Luong, Cara Mayfield, and Laekin Cohee, brother, Carlton Boone and wife Gail of Brownsville, Texas, sister, Dena Bloodworth of Midland, Texas, sister-in-law, Janet Glasgow of San Angelo, Texas, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sloan and Nealia Mae Boone, husband, Marvin Glasgow, sons, Travis Glasgow and Bill (William) Glasgow, grandson, Michael Cavitt, great grandchildren, Stanley Glasgow and Sloane Marie Glasgow, and siblings, Richard Boone, Annie Boone Hicks and Peggy Boone Warren.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
