Winnona Carol (Burnett) Evans

Winnona Carol Evans, age 58, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Emmanuel Fellowship Church with Pastor Loran Rule officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cate-Spencer & Trent Funeral Home.

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 26, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M..

Winnona was born on June 15, 1959 in Big Spring, Texas to Melvin and Carol (Sanders) Burnett. She was a member of Emmanuel Fellowship Church. She had been a resident of Sweetwater for seven years before moving from Snyder, Texas.

She is survived by her parents, Melvin and Sue Burnett of Snyder, Texas, daughter, April McAbee and husband David of May, Texas, son, Dustin Reeves and wife Shannon of Round Rock, Texas, sister, Marlyn Gage and husband Eithel of Sweetwater, Texas, two brothers, Clifford Burnett of Fort Worth, Texas, and Tony Burnett and wife Cindy of Godly, Texas, nine grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Marvin & Billie Dupuy and paternal grandparents, Otis and Ethel Burnett.

Pallbearers will be Austin McAbee, Zack McAbee, Chris McAbee, David Crow, Tommy Gage, Clint Parks, and Eddy Gossett.
